ABSTRACT OF COURSE'S CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES:

BA 296/ E296 in Fall 2002 is a beta test of a new course under development. The new course is aimed exclusively at students with zero technical background, and will provide an overview of the technologies and companies that comprise the IT (information technology) industry.

 

BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH:

Sarah Tasker is a lecturer in the Haas Accounting Group. She teaches Financial Information Analysis in the spring semester, and is developing a new course in technology sector literacy for the fall semester. Her research focuses on the challenges of investor communication and financial analysis in the technology sector. She received her PhD in management from MIT in 1997, and her S.B. in physics and humanities from MIT in 1988.
