DISCLAIMERS
AND WARNINGS:
Please note that there is no add/drop process
for this course. If you successfully bid
for the course you will be enrolled in the course with no option to drop the
course.
You will be assigned to work on a management
consulting team with a live social sector client. As a result, you will need to
devote 8-12 hours a week, some individual work and more team work, which you
will need to schedule with other FTMBA and EWMBA students. You will work under
the leadership of a FTMBA team lead most likely with a consulting background,
selected by the instructors.
Once enrolled in the class, you will bid on
your team assignment and we will strive to give you one of your top choices;
that said, getting your first choice of clients isn’t guaranteed. Also, clients
often change the scope of work, so be prepared to adjust to client changes,
which are a basic fact of life in management consulting.
Please bid on this course only if you are
fully committed. Specifically, as a check-list:
·
Bid on this course
only if you are willing to be flexible about your client assignment
·
Bid on this course
understanding that there may be major project changes initiated by the client
·
Bid on this course
knowing that your team lead will be a FTMBA most likely with a consulting
background
·
Bid on this course
as long as a significant change on your available bandwidth is not anticipated,
and you can commit the 8-12 hours per week
As
noted above, once enrolled after bidding, you will not be able to drop this
course. No exceptions will be approved by the EWMBA Program Office.
