services system by
* providing students with an understanding of
the structure, financing, and special properties of health services delivery;
* applying social science theory, disciplinary
contributions, and research findings to the understanding of significant
problems of health services delivery;
* analyzing current sources of data about
health status, health services use, financing, and indicators of the
performance of the health delivery system;
* building a higher level of expertise about
one health-related organization; and
* identifying and analyzing
the larger management and policy issues that drive efforts to reform the health
services system.
