CLASS FORMAT: Guest speaker presentations, Q&A, in-class exercises and pitch opportunities, networking with speakers.

 

COURSE OVERVIEW: This speaker series provides a practical introduction to entrepreneurship---leveraging the talent found in the room, at Haas, and in the Bay Area.

 

BASIS FOR FINAL GRADE: Weekly attendance for entire session, class participation (Q&A), and feedback / ratings of speakers. Any students who miss more than one session will not receive a passing grade.

 

ABSTRACT OF COURSE CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES: What is entrepreneurship? Why is building a team important and how do you do it? How do you figure out the product and product-market fit? How do you acquire initial customers and target growth? Why are good finance and accounting important? We will cover these topics through speakers and hands-on activities. You will benefit from the deep industry expertise and thriving Bay Area connections of CMG's own Deepak Gupta and Professor Omri Even-Tov, who will be integral resources in the course.
