CLASS FORMAT: Guest speakers share revealing anecdotes
from their professional experiences to help students learn about management and
explore the various functional roles within organizations.
REQUIRED READINGS: Speaker biographies
and the occasional brief background reading to help students prepare for the
discussion.
BASIS FOR FINAL GRADE: Attendance and class participation
ABSTRACT OF COURSE’S CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES: This course provides Haas students with the opportunity to hear candid remarks from accomplished executives across industries and functions with an emphasis on management lessons derived from the speaker's careers. Speakers are chosen to represent diverse executive/management functions to help students explore their functional focus across Corporate Strategy, Business Development, and General Management more broadly. Each week, guest executives will share revealing management lessons as well as anecdotes that illuminate the different roles and responsibilities they have or currently hold. Sessions will be highly interactive and students are expected to ask questions.
