ABSTRACT OF COURSE'S CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES:
We are excited to offer Berkeley students the chance to hear and
meet some of the leading entrepreneurs in the Bay Area. Past participants have
included Shai Agassi, whose ‘Project Better Place’ aims to revolutionize
electric cars, to the Haas team behind ‘Revolution Foods’, which is improving
the quality of school food throughout the area.
Each week there will be a one hour presentation followed by a dinner for
select students to network with the guest speaker.
This 1 unit course has been put together by the Haas Entrepreneur's
Association and the Lester Center for Entrepreneurship, in conjunction with the
Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology in the College of Engineering, to
provide MBAs with a high-level survey of the field of Entrepreneurship. The course will expose MBAs to entrepreneurs
from organizations at various stages of development and representing a broad
range of industries. Entrepreneurs will present about how their organizations
were created and share the lessons they learned. This course is for both aspiring
entrepreneurs as well as those simply interested in learning more about the
field.
