CLASS FORMAT: One to three speakers will deliver separate presentations related to the topic of the week, with integrated discussion and Q&A among the panelists and class participants.

 

BASIS FOR FINAL GRADE: Attendance.

 

ABSTRACT OF COURSE'S CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES: To provide an in-depth overview of the key topics in renewable energy and clean technology, particularly with respect to current technologies, market conditions, technology commercialization, policy considerations, and interfacing with utilities.

 

COURSE OVERVIEW: The course will look at energy from a number of perspectives including: Renewable Generation Technologies (Solar, Wind, Geothermal), Smart Grid, Energy Storage, Electric Vehicles, Energy Efficiency and Biofuels. Each week the course will focus on a different topic along the spectrum. The presentations will have a range of depth and in some cases will be broad overviews and in other instances will be somewhat technical. Thus, the course is appropriate for all knowledge levels, from industry veterans to newcomers.
