CAREER FIELD: Machine learning and the distributed web will affect almost every industry in the future, but this course is particularly relevant to those who plan to design new products or services using emerging technology.

ABSTRACT OF COURSE'S CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES:
We are at a unique moment in time where the evolution of technology is changing so fast that it is making many of society痴 systems, infrastructure, and businesses obsolete. We値l dive deeper into machine learning and distributed web technologies (aka blockchain) to learn where and how they池e being used today. We値l match these new technological capabilities with specific, real world opportunities.
In this course, we値l gain a foundational understanding of the unique properties of emerging technologies and focus on designing with and for machine learning and the distributed web.  We値l unpack the implications of how and why a technology can be applied to solve a business problem, and design new products or services that take advantage of that emerging technology.
We値l learn IDEO design thinking problem solving tools, like how to write design fiction, create industry opportunity maps and identify new products or services to build, as well as learn how to put a business lens onto an emerging technology.
