ABSTRACT OF COURSE'S CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES:
This course introduces presentation design principles necessary to communicate quantitative business information clearly and efficiently.  This course illustrates how the effective use of graphs and visual aids can capture maximum audience comprehension and participation by tailoring presentations to various learning styles.  Students will learn how to make sense of datasets to help busy professionals make informed decisions.  This course is not about technical data tool usage, and neither implies nor requires understanding of advanced analytical tools.

BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH:
Kevin Hill is Principal at Heights Consulting, offering insight services and training for strategic and actionable impact.  He is a senior consulting professional with 16 years of experience, practiced in all aspects of Business/Market Intelligence from strategic to tactical.  Known as an astute critical thinker and creative problem-solver.  ​Skilled in extracting insight from internal and external datasets, helping clients make well-informed decisions.  Manages highly complex projects for stakeholders in product management, sales, marketing, operations/IT, research and finance in a range of industries including software, online media, healthcare, and financial services.  Kevin built his skillset in operational capacities with ABB’s software division, and spent eight years building the Market Intelligence practice at Autodesk.

Kevin earned an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley in 2007.  He started his career and developed his passion for tech while working in Equity Research for RBC and Canaccord Genuity, covering the dynamic software industry.  Originally from Cleveland, OH, he earned a BA in Finance from Ohio University.
