BASIS FOR FINAL GRADE:

ABSTRACT OF COURSE'S CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES:

This course is heavily focused on your leadership development. It is overwhelmingly focused on practice – how you are currently (or recently) leading in key domains in your life: your work, family, organizational volunteering, and in this class itself as a laboratory to explore creating community and excellence. There is a strong psycho-social aspect to the class; so if you love reflection and discussion about how people think, feel and relate, you will be a great and happy leader in this laboratory.  And, if you know that you have faced some challenges in your psycho-social game and that it’s not your sweet spot, then this will be a hospitable and challenging place to engage in that growth and development. The end result of the course is that you should be leading better in the day-to-day, but also have great clarity about how you will grow in leadership, including into positions of high status and power.
Outcomes of the course:

Process of the course:
The course will be “flipped” so that the instructor will not “teach the readings,” but will instead maximize classroom time for simulation, discussion, and other exercises to practice-and-learn.
The course will move out in these concentric circles.
